What Is Personal Style, Really?

Personal style is not about following trends or copying what influencers wear. It's about developing a visual language that expresses who you are — your values, your personality, and how you want to show up in the world.

Step 1: Identify Your Style Icons

Think of 3–5 women (real or fictional) whose style you admire. What do they have in common? Are their looks polished or relaxed? Minimalist or bold? Classic or eclectic? This tells you a lot about your own aesthetic.

Step 2: Find Your Keywords

Choose 3 adjectives that describe how you want to look and feel. Examples: elegant, effortless, bold or feminine, classic, refined. These become your style compass — before buying anything, ask yourself if it matches your keywords.

Step 3: Audit What You Already Own

Look at the pieces you reach for every single week. What do they have in common? Cut, color, fabric? Your most-worn items reveal your true style preferences far more accurately than your Pinterest boards.

Step 4: Dress With Intention Every Day

Your style muscle grows with practice. Start getting dressed more intentionally — even on casual days. The more consciously you engage with your wardrobe, the more clearly your personal style will emerge.

Remember

Style is a journey, not a destination. Give yourself permission to evolve.
